A Night of Art, Friends, and Celebration
Perfecting the Festival Experience
With art festival season just around the corner, we recently hosted a special event at our home to give friends and neighbors an exclusive first look at our festival booth setup. This “dry run” was more than just a test—it was a fantastic evening filled with great music, delicious food, and wonderful company.
Our goal for the night was to practice the complete setup and breakdown of our festival tent while also getting valuable feedback on how to organize and present the artwork. Setting up a functional and visually appealing booth is just as important as the art itself, and this event allowed us to fine-tune everything—from display layout to how we talk about each piece. As the night unfolded, we enjoyed lively conversations, shared creative insights, and of course, indulged in plenty of wine and beer. My wife prepared an incredible spread of appetizers and hors d’oeuvres that kept everyone coming back for more. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the evening feel like a true celebration of art and community.
Preparing for the Elements
The event also served as a great test for our tent setup. With about 200 pounds of weight securing it, we were able to confirm that it could withstand gusty winds—an essential factor for outdoor festivals. As the night grew colder, we all cozied up inside the tent, making the most of the space and enjoying the intimate setting.
Looking Ahead to Festival Season
With this successful trial run under our belt, we feel more confident and prepared for the upcoming festival season. Our first official event will be the Sandy Springs Artsapalooza Spring Festival on April 19th and 20th, and we can’t wait to bring our art to a larger audience.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and shared their thoughts—it means the world to have such a supportive community. We’d love for you to join us at one of our upcoming festivals this spring. Stay tuned for more details, and we hope to see you there!
